EXTRA KAYAK TRAINING COURSE ADDED

Our course on July 24th was rained out, so we have added a course on SATURDAY JULY 31st. There are still 6 spaces available; this is the same 9am - 4pm all day course, see details on left side-bar under "Training Courses". As well, there are still a few spaces available for the Training Course on SATURDAY AUGUST 7th.

Friday Night Paddling 6 to 8pm
Every week, weather dependent
Everyone is welcome and there is no charge in your own kayak (rentals are also available, and demos if you are considering an upgrade of your kayak). You must RSVP - 519 326-5193 so our guides can plan ahead. We depart at 6:00pm sharp from Pelee Wings Beach so come out 20 to 30 minutes in advance to unload and gear up. If there is threatening weather brewing give us a call before you come out as we will cancel out by 3:00pm Fridays if stormy weather is likely to occur.
The group of 6 to 25 paddlers usually goes out for pub food on the patio at nearby "Freddy's Park Stop" restaurant after the paddling session for refreshments and comraderie. When our store parking lot is congested we request that you unload at our beach, then park 1/2 block away on the waterfront at Mersea Park.

Can't make it to the Saturday Training Courses?
You can request "Personalized Training" on the water at any time, just give our expert trainer - Jeff Dorrell a call to set up an appointment; one person - $40./hr: if 2 - 4 people then $30./hr each. You can learn many paddling techniques and basic rescues with a few hours training.
Learn to kayak safely -- it could save your life. Take part in our Level One Training Session at Pelee Wings every second Saturday in June, July, and August. We promote safe kayaking!! While safety is our main concern, we'll also have a lot of fun! This is a professional instruction with certified trainers.
Our students range in age from 12 years old to 75 years young. Includes 1.5 hour lecture session reviewing kayak designs & gear, and 5 hours paddling on the lake. We teach paddle strokes, launching and landing, rescue techniques including self rescue and assisted rescue, bracing, wet exit, and more.
A phone call to the store -- (519) 326-5193 and your credit card number will reserve your spot. Courses are limited to 12 students. Fees: $65 with your kayak & gear; $85 with our kayak & gear.

The New Rolling Pool is in Operation!
Learn the Eskimo Roll in your sea kayak or ours in the comfort of our new salt-water pool. You can book a 1 or 2 hour session with Jeff at your convenience. Prices are $40. / hour for 1 person, or $30. / hour each for 2 people. As the water cools down during early spring and fall you will need lightweight neoprene or cold water gear.
